Nicole, when we were kids I loved hanging out with you, mostly when your parents weren't home. You made me watch Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Grease a million times. I had such a crush on you. Do you remember all the times you invited me to join your family during summer to water ski, and up to Stevens Pass for snow skiing in the winter. I can still hear us laughing together and having long conversations.
Your family took me in during a difficult time in my life. A warm safe place to sleep at night, and your dad helped me get a job with him doing marble and tile work on giant boats over in West Port Washington. Yeah, and I remember, you already had a boyfriend, but you didn't for long!
