Being apart of something so amazing as Summit Assistant Dogs while in prison has helped me to heal, grow, overcome fear, and make a huge difference in the lives of others. Today we had a dog graduation here at Monroe Correctional Center. The visit room was full of outside volunteers that support Summit Assistant Dogs in many different ways. It was such an honor to meet so many incredible fun loving compassionate people. I'm overwhelmed with joy, appreciation and gratitude, but more importantly my need for acceptance, wonder, affection, empathy, acknowledgement, solidarity, purpose and celebration of life was met. Heck yeah. A guest asked me how I am able to express so much joy and happiness in a place like this. I love life so deeply I cant hide it. We had the most incredible conversation. Thank you special guest for your positive influence and rich encouragement.
