Happy October by Marshall Byers

With a deep inhalation this morning, I became overwhelmed with Autumn fragrance. Aaaahh, my favorite time of year. Wood stoves are burning, our garden is full of bright green vegetation, but slowly around the edges they're becoming wilted and yellowish. Trees are ready to start shedding after a long summer (long summers are not a Washington factoid). As the sun brakes over the Cascades, you see very little, because of thick rolling fog. Day light fades into night, birds gather nesting for there little ones, and delicious memories hit me like a tidal wave. I'm so excited to be alive right in this very moment holding a hot glass of Apple cider.

Warm thoughts of you all,
Marshall Byers
